A New Website For BFL

As some of you may know, besides designing here at Rowan Made, I'm also the co-founder of Be Free, Lance, an online workshop for designers who are looking to build a successful freelancing business from the ground. We've been at this for a few years now and are so excited to launch our new website and marketing video, as well as open registration for our main workshop and mini courses! And since this was a collaborative design project, I thought I'd share more below ...

In order to split up tasks, I tackled the majority of our sell site, which is what the public sees. We liked our existing website (which was a one pager), but knew we needed to translate and upgrade that design into something that was much more robust, since we were introducing a new way to learn -- mini courses! That alone meant that many more pages were needed. Here is where we ended up for the home page, clearly pointing interested people in two different ways:

Here, users can learn more via our video (below) and click on either main workshop OR mini courses to learn more. My favorite part is probably the series of icons we used in our "takeaway" section because they add that extra visual punch that was needed on one of our longer pages. ;)
